Former Freed-Hardeman business dean Mark Steiner joins this month
NASHVILLE, Tenn., – LiveBeyond is excited to announce the appointment of Mark Steiner as the ministry’s new chief operating officer, effective immediately. Steiner joins the LiveBeyond team after serving for ten years as a professor at Freed-Hardeman University’ School of Business, where he was appointed dean in 2012. Additionally, with more than 20 years as a corporate executive, Steiner boasts an impressive skill set that will help LiveBeyond better serve the people of Haiti.
“While LiveBeyond has always been a good steward of the resources it has been given, having someone with Mark’s level of efficiency and effectiveness will only increase what we are able to accomplish for the people of Haiti,” said Dr. David Vanderpool, founder and CEO of LiveBeyond. “We could not be more honored to have him join as a member of our team.”
After making several trips to Haiti, Steiner developed a passion for serving the people of Thomazeau. Originally from Jackson, Tennessee, Steiner and his wife, Carolyne – who will also be joining the staff as Haiti Operations Coordinator – will live about 70 percent of the year in Thomazeau, Haiti, alternately spending one month in the States and two months in Haiti.
“Carolyne and I are so excited to be joining a team of such loving and caring people that are making a difference in so many people’s lives daily.” said Steiner. “Within the past few years, the people of Thomazeau have held a place in our hearts, and we both felt the calling to come and carry out the impactful work that LiveBeyond is doing within this community.”
