We need churches and fellow believers to partner with us to help the people of Haiti rebuild and recover. Get your congregation, small groups and kids involved to gather supplies that will allow us to provide short-term relief for Hurricane Matthew victims in southwestern Haiti.
As our disaster response team has been assessing urgent needs and gathering supplies for Hurricane Victims off the southwestern coast of Haiti, it is evident that priority needs are food, water purification tablets, and tarps.
Through the LiveBeyond community's support, we have purchased six tons of food in Haiti and have collected 90,000 meals that will be shipped to Haiti on an upcoming container shipment.
One of our top priorities is gathering tarps and water purification tablets.
Ninenty percent of homes in Les Cayes were destroyed or heavily damaged in the storm, so tarps are an enormous need for residents struggling to keep dry. In addition, Haiti is facing a surge in cholera cases in the wake of Hurricane Matthew, creating a desperate need for clean drinking water. Water purification tablets can easily be distributed to locals to provide them with an immediate resource to purify their water.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Get your church family involved. Take up a special offering to gather tarps or water purification tablets for the people of Haiti.
Encourage small groups at your church to start a supply drive or raise funds to purchase supplies.
Donate to our hurricane relief fund, so our team can purchase tarps and water purification tablets locally.
WATER PURIFICATION TABLETS
Clean water is an urgent need for those affected by Hurricane Matthew. The storm accelerated Haiti's existing cholera epidemic, which is spread through unpurified water.
When you purchase water purification tablets, you will provide the people of Haiti with a safe, clean water—Plus, your purchase will be shipped directly to our headquarters, so we can send them down to Haiti for distribution. Help us give the gift of clean water and fight cholera.
Many homes along the southwestern coast of Haiti were destroyed and damaged by Hurricane Matthew. Your donation will enable us to purchase tarps locally that assist our relief effort currently underway in Haiti's most devastated areas.
