Why Quality Education Matters

At the LiveBeyond School we strive for quality education because it means so much more than a child learning to read, write, and complete a math equation. Education is a possible route to ending the vicious poverty cycle that so many Haitians live in. The World Bank states “The latest official poverty estimate (2012) suggested that over 6 million Haitians lived below the poverty line of US $2.41 per day, and more than 2.5 million fell below the extreme poverty line of US $1.12 per day.”

The LiveBeyond School wants to see as many children become as successful in life as possible. We want each child to learn and grow into the best version of themselves. That is why we provide free education to all of our students, an inclusive environment, nutritious meals, and American standard curriculum. We also pay for other students tuition to attend other schools in the area because we believe every child deserves an education and a chance to break this cycle.
